At Millie Mae, we know that great design starts with a love for tradition and beauty. That’s why we’re proud to introduce you to our sister brand, Forever England – a name that has become synonymous with timeless British homeware, exquisite bedspreads and beautiful home accessories.
From seaside beginnings to bedspread beauty
You might think of Forever England as Millie Mae’s big sister, because its journey started way back in 1997. That was when the first of Forever England’s stores opened, in the idyllic seaside town of Sidmouth, Devon.
Our vision back then was simple: to offer a beautiful selection of home accessories, gifts and bedding that embodied classic English style. It didn’t take long for customers to fall in love with our range and before we knew it, we were opening new shops to allow us to meet demand in Sherborne, Dorset, and Wells, Somerset.
Opening our Wells store was extra special for us, because just like Millie Mae, our Forever England HQ is in Somerset. The rolling hills, colourful meadows and changing seasons provide constant inspiration for our homeware, just as for our fashion accessories. We love delicate floral patterns and rich, textured fabrics, as well as colours that remind us of all our favourite things about the countryside.
Because helping you bring the outside in is key to the Forever England brand and philosophy. Today, the signature Forever England products are our stunning bedspreads, that have brought beauty and comfort to countless bedrooms over the years.
Even our name was inspired by the countryside, via a 1914 war sonnet by Rupert Brooke, which is full of passion for England’s landscape, heritage and traditions – just as we are.
